Dysphagia & Diets(SM) is designed to provide basic knowledge about dysphagia
versus normal swallowing. It explains how and why dysphagia affects patients
given different types of diets. A large number of work settings

and therapists about the importance of providing the correct diets for
patients with dysphagia. This course will provide an opportunity to
view modified barium swallowing studies (demonstrating aspiration), hands-on
experience in thickening liquids and positioning for feeding, and guidelines
on how to feed correctly.
